Reading 5: Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.

This children's reading video teaches kids how to read, using the simple rhyme "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary." In the video, we read the lines three times: The first and last time, we read it quickly and the second time we read slowly and highlight the word that is being read.

The second reading is done with a pause after each word and we highlight the word so that children have time to absorb it. Additionally, we display each line of text while we read to keep the words in context.
