This American Historical painting entitled "Embarkation of the Pilgrims" was painted by Robert W. Weir in 1843. It depicts the pilgrims departing from Delft Haven, Holland, on July 22, 1620 on their ship Speedwell. That ship did not make it to the New World, but their ship "Mayflower" did.
